Job Description:
Our nurses provide labor and delivery and postpartum care. If unable to get a nurse that does both, labor and delivery would be preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Provide labor and delivery and postpartum care
- Titrate drips such as Pitocin, mag, insulin, antihypertensives, and medications for hemorrhages
- Collaborate with charge nurse and OB techs on each shift
- Maintain compliance with AWHONN staffing standards
- Voluntarily float to other departments or campuses as needed
Requirements:
- BLS Certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Pass open book exam on skills with 90% during orientation
- Driver's license to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles radius
- Must not have artificial fingernails in departments providing patient care
