Description
Job Title: Physical Therapist / Occupational Therapist
City/State: Alturas, California
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Contract Length: 91 weeks
Start Date: 07/28/2026
Job Description:
Under the direction of the Director of Physical Therapy, the Physical Therapist is responsible for directing physical therapy services. This role coordinates and supervises department operations, administers physical agents prescribed by a referring physician, maintains performance improvement activities, participates in continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities, ensures compliance with regulatory standards, and manages the department budget and charges.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate professional behavior and maintain a positive working relationship with patients, visitors, and facility staff.
- Organize and manage time efficiently to produce deliverables on schedule.
- Communicate respectfully and accept direction from superiors.
- Perform accurate patient assessments and recommend changes to physicians as needed.
- Ensure patient care complies with hospital policies and optimizes patient safety.
Requirements:
- Three or more years of experience in physical therapy preferred.
- Current California licensure or certification as a physical therapist.
- Knowledge of physical therapy modalities, anatomy, and physiology.
- Current BCLS certification.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
