Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Cardio Vascular ICU provides comprehensive care to cardiovascular patients. Responsibilities involve managing critical care patients with advanced cardiovascular support needs and ensuring high standards of patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and multi-system organ failure
• Care for post cardiac surgery patients and pre/post cardiac cath/intervention
• Management of devices such as Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Impella, and LVAD/RVAD
• Administer medications including continuous IV paralytics, sedation, and vasoactive drips
• Ventilator management and care of ventilated patients
• Phlebotomy and maintaining infection prevention and isolation precautions

Requirements:

• 3 years of CV ICU experience
• Active IL license, CPR, ACLS, NIHSS certification
• Pass EKG test with a score of 80% or above
• Epic experience preferred
• Preferred experience with devices such as Impella and LVAD
• Submit updated resume, CV ICU skills checklist, and CV reference within the last year
