Description
Job Title: RN, Labor/Delivery
City/State: Tahlequah, Oklahoma
Shift: 7p-7a, Nights
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Start Date: 06/29/2026
Job Description:
OB nurse needed for 15-17 births per month. The RN will handle Labor & Delivery, as well as Mother Baby, Newborn Nursery, and Couplet Care. They will also care for Gynecology surgery patients and may float to Med/Surg, assisting with vitals and medication administration if needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide care for laboring patients, triages, and mother-baby care.
- Support LPNs with Electronic Fetal Monitoring evaluations and documentation.
- Validate initial assessments as the baby nurse.
- Coordinate with Transfer Coordinator for additional support in emergencies.
- Creative collaboration within a small unit with available support and resources.
Requirements:
- BLS, NRP, and Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications required.
- Ability to perform comprehensive nursing tasks in Labor and Delivery settings.
- Experience in handling multiple aspects of the OB environment including Gynecology surgeries.
- Willingness to assist in Med/Surg as needed.
