Job Title: RN (Registered Nurse), Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
City/State: Sacramento, California
Shift: 12hr Nights, Every Other Weekend, First to Float
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description:
The RN in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) provides critical care to patients with cardiovascular conditions. This high-acuity unit requires proactive and confident nursing skills, along with the capability to work with all assigned cases without special accommodations.
Responsibilities:
- Pre and fresh postoperative care including CABG, LVADs, and IABP
- Manage critical drips and monitor Swan-Ganz catheters
- Effectively read and interpret EKG strips
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Hospitalists and Intensivists
- Participate in bedside reporting and adhere to pathway protocols
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in CVICU and at least 1 travel assignment
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Ability to work every other weekend and be the first to float
- Completion of DYS exam through UNA with a passing score
