Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is responsible for providing specialized care for neonatal patients, managing ventilation and CPAP, and handling critical care assignments. The unit has a capacity of 35 beds, with varying staff-to-patient ratios based on patient acuity.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care to Level 3 or 4 neonatal patients.
• Administer ventilation and perform RAM CPAP procedures.
• Handle high flow lines and intensive care assignments with 1:1 patient ratio.
• Manage grower/feeder patients at a 1:3-4 ratio.

Requirements:

• Current Illinois RN License.
• CPR and NRP certifications.
• Preferred RNC certification.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with assignments potentially changing during the shift.
