Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit will provide specialized care to neonates in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 3 or 4 care with a focus on critical neonates.
• Administer mechanical ventilation and CPAP.
• Handle 1:1 assignments with critical infants or 1:2 intensive care assignments.
• Oversee care for grower/feeders on a 1:3-4 basis.
• Adapt to changing assignments as needed during shifts.
• Participate in an 8-hour orientation process.
• Float to MB, Peds, or Elmhurst - Special Care Nursery as required.
• Adhere to weekend and holiday scheduling requirements.

Requirements:

• Current IL RN license.
• CPR and NRP certification.
• Preference for candidates with RNC certification.
• Experience with administering high-flow lines and managing 35-bed nurseries.
