Job Description:

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care in the Labor & Delivery unit, ensuring safe and effective delivery of patient care.

Responsibilities:

Insert IVs and perform lab draws
Set up delivery tables for vaginal deliveries
Administer blood and nitrous
Conduct vaginal exams and interpret fetal monitor strips
Assist with epidural placement

Requirements:

Current RN licensure
BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications
Experience in labor and delivery, C-section, and PACU recovery
Knowledge of common OB medications and complications

I come from the ICU so I don’t know if it was my lack of PCU experience but it feels like I have to BEG to the point of calling a rapid to have the residents and providers take initiative.
