Job Description:

A Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) is responsible for providing health care services to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. They ensure that sterile procedures are followed, necessary equipment and medications are available for the operating room team, and record progress and outcomes of surgical procedures while ensuring patient safety at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate health care services for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
• Ensure sterile procedures are followed throughout surgery and necessary equipment and medications are available.
• Record progress and outcomes of surgical procedures and ensure proper handling of specimens.
• Provide quality control and maintain patient safety at all times.

Requirements:

• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• 2 years current experience in an acute CVOR setting.
• Experience in CABG, MVR, AVR, Pacemaker insertions, laser lead extractions, thoracic procedures, and standby for TVAR and mitral clips.
• Prefer experience in minimally invasive cardiac procedures.
