Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardio Vascular ICU

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Cardio Vascular ICU provides comprehensive care for patients with various cardiovascular conditions in a high acuity setting, performing complex assessments and interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and multi-system organ failure
• Provide care for post-cardiac surgery patients and pre/post cardiac interventions
• Perform advanced hemodynamic monitoring and manage devices such as Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump and Impella
• Administer and titrate cardiac medications and drips
• Assist with ventilator management and high-flow nasal cannula therapy
• Implement infection prevention and isolation precautions
• Phlebotomy and management of surgical wounds with drains

Requirements:

• 3 years of CVICU experience
• Active IL license, CPR, ACLS, NIHSS certification
• Proficient in Epic systems and interpretation of EKG
• Submit a passing EKG test score of 80% or higher
• Updated resume and recent CVICU skills checklist
• Reference from a supervisor within the last year
