Job Description:

The clinical nurse coordinates and performs a variety of nursing care procedures for patients of all ages, requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments; and the ability to work independently in completing assignments. Guidelines include provider's orders, standards of care, nursing policies and procedures manuals, hospital policies, and nursing duties include support to individuals of all ages and their families.

Responsibilities:

• Implements safe, therapeutic and efficient care for patients with multisystem disease and/or complications of treatment using appropriate infection control measures
• Assumes accountability for proper delegation and supervision of CNA/Tech
• Initiates, manages, and documents the nursing procedures consistent with scientific principles and departmental policy
• Coordinates patient care with physicians and other healthcare team members
• Promotes understanding and coping with illness and optimal health through educational knowledge

Requirements:

• Requires two fingerprint cards submitted immediately upon acceptance
• Must have current Alaska RN license
• Must have flu vaccination
• Education required to obtain a valid, current, full, and unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska
• BLS and PALS upon hire, ACLS within 6 months of hire date
