Job Description:
The RN in the Tele Float Pool will work across MedSurg Tele and PCU units, including inpatient holding in ED. The role requires managing a variety of patient cases, including caring for geriatric and post-procedural patients, and working with various titratable drips.
Responsibilities:
- Care for geriatric and ortho patients, as well as post MI and post Cardiac Cath patients.
- Manage and titrate drips such as Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Insulin.
- Interpret monitor strips and work with monitor techs for patient monitoring.
- Follow specific shift and scheduling requirements including weekend and holiday rotations.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year experience in a PCU setting.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Must pass the dysrhythmia exam with a score of 80% within two attempts.
