Certified Surgical Tech - CVOR
City/State: Rapid City, South Dakota
Shift: 8 Hour Variable, 07:00:00-15:00:00
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: 07/13/2026
Job Description:
The Certified Surgical Tech in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) will be responsible for assisting with cardio and thoracic surgeries including, but not limited to, CABG, TAVR, valve replacements, thoracic cases, generator exchanges, and lead extractions.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in surgeries including cardiac organ procurement/harvesting.
- Work independently with minimal guidance in specialized procedures.
- Float to the Main OR as needed.
- Participate in on-call rotations including one overnight per week and every 3rd weekend.
Requirements:
- 2 years of CVOR experience; Level 1 or 2 trauma experience required.
- BLS certification and CST certification preferred.
- Graduation from an accredited school or an associate degree in a healthcare-related field.
- Proficiency with EPIC charting system, Omnicell, and Alaris equipment.
