Job Title

Physical Therapist - Pediatric Outpatient

City/State: Juneau, Alaska

Shift: Shifts vary. Monday - Friday 7 am - 6 pm & Saturday 8 am - 1 pm, 4x10 Flex

Contract Length: 4 weeks

Job Description:

Provides general physical therapy evaluations and treatments which impact patients' functional abilities. Oversees and directs the work of Physical Therapist Assistants and/or other designated staff members.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides general physical therapy evaluations and treatments to a wide range of ages with varying diagnoses and issues.
  • Implements, supervises and modifies a therapy plan of care based on assessment of patient response to optimize the outcome for each patient.
  • Reviews clinical records and case histories.
  • Documents patient encounter findings and treatments according to SEARHC policies.
  • Directs the work of support staff, students, or interns.
  • Assists in acquisition and fit of durable medical equipment/devices based on needs of patient.
  • Maintains supply stocks and clinical equipment at acceptable levels.
  • Follows all SEARHC confidentiality and quality assurance standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must have an active Alaska license at time of submission.
  • Pediatric PT experience required.
  • Must have flu vaccinations.
  • Entry level qualifying master’s or doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program or equivalent work and continuing education experience.
  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in adult outpatient rehab.
