Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Medical/Surgical unit is responsible for providing care to patients in accordance with current nursing standards and utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a medical-surgical setting.
• Administer medication and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and document patient conditions and effectiveness of care and medication.
• Coordinate patient care with other healthcare team members.
• Participate in patient and family education as needed.

Requirements:

• 1 year of hospital med-surg experience required.
• Experience with gtts such as Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, and Cardizem preferred.
• KS RN or Compact License, AHA BLS & ACLS required.
• May float within scope to Emergency Department.
• Two weekends per month required, 1 on-call shift per month.
• Holiday work required in rotation.
