Job Description:
The role of a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab involves providing care for patients undergoing interventional cardiac catheterization procedures and supporting the team with both cardiac and interventional radiology cases.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures.
- Administer sedation and monitor patient responses.
- Operate equipment safely, including balloon pumps and telemetry.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
- Document patient information accurately in the Epic EMR system.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a cardiac cath lab setting.
- Mandatory skills: sedation, previous cath lab experience, balloon pumps, telemetry.
- Preferred experience with interventional radiology.
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.
- Must complete Traveler Telemetry Competency Exam.
