Job Description:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the ICU is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-focused care. This position requires a nurse willing to work collaboratively with the care team to manage a variety of ICU acuity patients, including vented patients, patients with BIS scoring, TTM, and IABP (rarely).
Responsibilities:
- Titrate drips, including vasopressors/inotropes, sedatives, heparin, octreotide, and insulin
- Participate in 6-week scheduling, including every third weekend and holiday rotation
- Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed
- Adhere to the hospital's fingernail policy and scrub color code (Navy Blue)
- Complete unit-specific orientation
Requirements:
- Current RN license and driver's license
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Pass a skills exam during orientation
- Comply with radius rule requiring candidates to live outside a 50-mile radius
