Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room is responsible for providing direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. In addition to general nursing care, responsibilities include: performing assessments, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, developing patient care plans, and documenting patient interactions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and individualized patient care in the Emergency Room.
• Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or condition.
• Administer medications and provide treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate patient care.
• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records of patient care.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in Emergency Department.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas.
• Certification in ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and PALS or ENPC.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records, preferably Paragon.
• Ability to understand and interpret ECG rhythms.
