Job Title: PT (Physical Therapist)
City/State: Sacramento, California
Shift: 8 Hour Days, 08:00:00-16:00:00, 8hr Days; 0800 + 2 weekend shifts a month, First to Float
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: 09/01/2026
Job Description:
This role involves working primarily in a skilled nursing facility, with training to float to an inpatient acute care hospital located in the same parking lot. The candidate will be required to treat 8-9 post-acute patients per day, handling common diagnoses such as total joint replacements, stroke, deconditioning, pneumonia, and balance difficulties associated with general medical conditions. The patient demographic is typically geriatric with chronic conditions, as well as orthopedic and neurological patients.
Responsibilities:
- Treat 8-9 patients per day with conditions such as CVA, TKA, THA, COPD.
- Perform independent work and transfers.
- Communicate effectively and work closely with the interdisciplinary team.
Requirements:
- CA PT license and AHA BLS certification.
- Recent experience in acute care or skilled nursing, preferably in skilled nursing.
- Able to work independently and perform patient transfers.
- Provide two supervisory references from the relevant modality, with one within the last 12 months and the other within the last 3 years worked.
- Copy of DL is needed at the time of submittal to validate legal name.
- Not employed directly by facilities associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year unless through outside firms.
