Job Title
Occupational Therapist (FT- 0.9 FTE, Day Shift)
City/State: Bozeman, Montana
Shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm and every other weekend
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: 09/07/2026
Job Description:
This position exists to provide excellent occupational therapy services. The purpose of this position is to implement therapy programs for patients referred to the system as well as providing health and wellness education.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate physical and functional status including muscle groups, motor function, upper extremity function, ADLs, coordination, and neurological status.
- Implement a plan of treatment as indicated by evaluations, including manual therapy, modalities, and therapeutic exercise.
- Prepare and instruct appropriate therapeutic exercise programs and develop home programs.
- Document initial evaluations, re-evaluations, progress notes, daily treatment, education, and discharge summaries within compliance of policies.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers in strategies to manage pain, improve safety and function, and educate regarding the individualized plan of care.
- Perform Functional Capacity Evaluations and/or Work Screens and Driver's evaluations (if trained).
- Collaborate with other disciplines and healthcare providers to provide education or treatment planning.
Requirements:
- Graduate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) program.
- Montana Licensure (Occupational Therapist).
- American Heart Association BLS.
- Participate in two (2) hours of initial cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education within one (1) year of hire.
- Preferred: Two (2) years of hospital (inpatient/outpatient) occupational therapy experience.
