Job Description:
This position involves providing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures and managing post-procedural care. The RN will work alongside interventional cardiologists and support staff in a dynamic Cardiac Cath Lab setting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage patients with STEMI/NSTEMI, LHC/RHC, CHF, Angina, ACS, Afib, IABP/Impella, CTOs, staged/protected PCI, and pericardiocentesis.
- Provide groin site and radial band management, moderate sedation, titrate drips, and manage emergency drugs.
- Use defibrillator and pacer efficiently and recognize rhythm changes.
- Collaborate with Cath Lab Coordinator, RTs, hospitalists, cardiologists, and RRT/Code Team.
- Potential floating to IR or Cardiovascular Recovery (CVR).
Requirements:
- Interventional Cath Lab experience with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- Proficiency with EMR (Cerner) and Hemodynamic Monitoring System (XPER).
- Comfortable with addressing vent alarms, management of anticoagulation, and emergency response protocols.
