Job Description:

The Registered Nurse Med/Surg will be responsible for providing direct patient care in a fast-paced medical and surgical unit. The nurse will ensure high-quality care and patient safety while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care and monitoring for patients with conditions like COPD, CHF, Diabetes, and Renal Failure.
• Perform wound care, medication administration, and documentation.
• Implement and manage IV starts and central line care.
• Maintain patient ratios as per unit standards.
• Interpret telemetry strip readings every four hours.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 18 months experience in Med/Surg or ICU with EPIC or Cerner experience.
• Certified in BLS and NIHSS.
• Ability to perform assessment, prioritization, and communication tasks effectively.
• Experience with technology such as Cerner, Plum 360 IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing.
