Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Med Surg unit will provide care to adults and geriatric patients, with occasional pediatric cases, primarily involving swing bed patients needing IV antibiotics, therapy, or wound care. The nurse will be expected to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, ensure patient safety, and effectively manage typical diagnoses such as diabetic, pancreatitis, and pneumonia.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient health and record observations.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members on patient care.
• Educate patients and family members on treatment plans and care techniques.

Requirements:

• Valid RN license.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Driver's license required at submittal for compliance with the 50-mile radius rule.
• Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with at least a 90% score during orientation.
