Registered Nurse - Med/Surg
City/State: Montgomery, Alabama
Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 12 hr Days - 36/48
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Start Date: 08/03/2026
Job Description:
The Registered Nurse in the Med/Surg unit is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with general surgery, vascular surgery, trauma, and other medical/surgical conditions. The nurse will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient needs are met efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care including wound care, medication administration, and documentation
- Turn patients, assist with baths, ADLs, and ensure high-quality care with a low patient ratio
- Interpret and confirm telemetry strips every 4 hours
Requirements:
- License: Active RN License in the state of Alabama
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Experience: Minimum 18 months in MedSurg and/or ICU with Cerner or EPIC experience preferred
- Skills: Trauma/surgical experience, wound care, IV skills, and medication administration
