Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. RNs perform direct patient care responsibilities as necessary to evaluate patient conditions, directly develop a treatment plan, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for patients with conditions such as heart failure, Afib, respiratory distress, and stroke.
• Monitor patient condition, interpret telemetry/strips, and titrate drips such as Cardizem, amiodarone, and nitro.
• Collaborate with team members, including charge nurses and nurse aides, to ensure quality patient care.
• Fulfill floating requirements as needed, with potential ICU assignments for qualified candidates.

Requirements:

• State RN license submission required.
• Driver's license submission required for location verification.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas; compliance required.
