Job Description:

The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Intensive Care Unit handling various medical conditions. The role requires proficiency in reading and interpreting EKG strips, managing ventilator support, and coordinating with a hospitalist or intensivist.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the ICU.
• Read and interpret EKG strips for proper cardiac monitoring.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including hospitalists and intensivists.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to protocol during shift hours.
• Participate in floor-specific orientation and ongoing education as needed.

Requirements:

• ACLS, BLS Certification
• NIHSS
• Capability to pass a dysrhythmia exam; requires completion of the exam prior to acceptance.
• Ability to work every other weekend and rotate in with core staff during holidays.
• Experience in acute care settings with a focus on medical ICU patients.
