Job Description:

The Registered Nurse provides and coordinates patient care through assessment, evaluation and treatment with a primary goal of achieving wellness and recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of all aspects of care for patients within scope of practice.
• Provides education to patients according to their needs.
• Transcribes, utilizes and implements protocols and physician orders.
• Coordinates healthcare team and delegates appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
• Previous experience in a hospital preferred.
• Must have a current, valid RN license from the State of Wyoming and be in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
• Must have current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and maintain credentials throughout employment.
• Must have current, valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification if performing circulating or recovery room for C-section.
• Must have current, valid Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification if caring for Pediatrics.
• Must have current, valid Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Nurses in Labor and Delivery must complete Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring class within the first year after orientation, and Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring within three years.
