Job Description:
Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) responsible for providing patient care in a stepdown setting. This role will involve working with a range of patients including those with heart failure, Afib, respiratory distress, and stroke.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and titrate medications such as Cardizem, amiodarone, and nitroglycerin.
- Read and interpret telemetry strips and manage CPAP equipment.
- Collaborate with charge nurses who maintain a full patient assignment.
- Participate in a 1-12 hour shift department-specific orientation.
Requirements:
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
- Driver's license for confirming a distance of 50 miles from the facility.
- Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas.
