Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Cardio Vascular ICU is responsible for providing critical care to patients with cardiovascular conditions. This role involves working with a multi-disciplinary team and requires advanced knowledge and skills in cardiovascular intensive care.

Responsibilities:

• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Multi-system organ failure care, thermoregulation
• Management of CABG, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Impella
• Post Cardiac Surgery care (not directly from the OR)
• Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention care
• Swan Ganz monitoring, Valve Replacement/Repair
• LVAD/RVAD, CVVHD/CRRT, IV therapy
• Medications administration and titration
• Management of BiPAP/CPAP, ventilator management
• Infection prevention, use of PPE
• CVA/Acute Stroke Management

Requirements:

• 3 years of CV ICU experience
• Passing EKG test score of 80% or above
• Active IL license, CPR, ACLS, NIHSS certification
• Epic experience preferred
• Submit updated resume, CV ICU skills checklist, CV reference, and EKG test score
