Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse - Post Partum
City/State: Spokane, Washington
Shift: 12H Nights, 19:00:00-07:00:00
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Description:
Registered Nurse responsible for providing postpartum and low risk antepartum care. The role involves breastfeeding assistance, newborn care, and performing assessments for mothers and babies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with breastfeeding and newborn care, including vital signs and thermoregulation.
- Manage hypoglycemia, bilirubin levels, and NAS (Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome) babies.
- Conduct newborn lab tests, phlebotomy, and IV skills.
- Perform PKU testing and discharge teaching.
- Vaccinate neonates and perform fundal checks on postpartum patients.
- Provide comprehensive assessments and reassessments for mothers and babies.
- Rotate weekends and float between LD, NICU, and other designated units voluntarily.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience, with 1 year in Mother-Baby/Postpartum.
- Current BLS, NRP certifications; EFM preferred.
- Experience with EPIC EMR is preferred.
- Ability to independently care for 3-4 couplets and perform thorough patient assessments.
- Experience with all required skills and care for postpartum patients.
