Job Description:

The occupational therapist (OT) delivers quality therapy services to patients by performing evaluations and developing individual treatment plans and goals to maximize functional outcomes. The OT is responsible for maintaining standards of professional and ethical practice following the guidelines of the State of Texas Board of Examiners for Occupational Therapy. The OT actively participates in discharge planning, implements the treatment program, and reassesses treatment results. Services are delivered within the framework of an interdisciplinary team approach, including significant others, and the patient.

Responsibilities:

• Perform evaluations and develop individual treatment plans and goals.
• Implement treatment programs and reassess treatment results.
• Participate in discharge planning.
• Deliver services within an interdisciplinary team approach.
• Maintain professional and ethical standards of practice.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 months experience in Skilled/Acute setting and some Outpatient experience.
• Texas and national license for Occupational Therapy.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
