Description
Job Title: HI-OR Scrub Tech
City/State: Hilo, Hawaii
Shift: Variable shifts based on department needs
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: 09/14/2026
Job Description:
Assist in operating room procedures by independently scrubbing for various types of surgical cases. Work will include variable shifts and may require being on call. The role involves helping with turnover cleaning and patient transport as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Independently scrub for general, orthopedic, vascular, ophthalmic, urology, ENT, endoscopy, robotic, obstetrics, and gynecology procedures
- Help with turnover cleaning and transport patients as needed
- Cover call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with an average of 1-2 calls per week and up to 2 weekends a month; 20-minute callback time
- Participate in department orientation on day shift for up to one week or as directed by the manager
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience scrubbing in a hospital setting
- Active Hawaii state license required by the start of the assignment
- Ability to complete a minimum of 39 shifts during the contract, if requested time off is taken
- Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for the employee health appointment
