Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver critical care to patients with a focus on intensive monitoring and treatment.
• Float to other units including Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and Universal Care Unit to care for medical-surgical patients.
• Coordinate patient care with other healthcare professionals.
• Manage and operate critical care equipment and devices like ventilators and balloon pumps.

Requirements:

• Active Illinois nursing license, CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in ICU with strong critical care skills.
• Experience with Epic software preferred.
• Complete a passed EKG test, resume, reference from the past year, skills checklist, and all active certifications upon submission.
