Job Description:

This position is responsible for providing patient care to a variety of medical-surgical and telemetry patients including those with joint replacements, fractures, colon resections, COPD exacerbations, prostatectomy, cellulitis, sepsis, ortho trauma, GI bleeds, pneumonia, and failure to thrive. The RN is expected to titrate certain medications and collaborate with a unit-based team to deliver quality care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care for a patient ratio of 1:5-6.
• Titrate drips including Heparin, lidocaine, and ketamine.
• Participate in block scheduling and every other weekend work as needed.
• Float to other medical-surgical areas when required.

Requirements:

• BLS certification is required; ACLS is preferred.
• Driver's license submission to verify 50 miles radius compliance.
• Compliance with artificial nails ban in patient care areas.
• Pass/Fail skills exam during orientation requiring a 90% to pass.
