Job Title: Staff RN - Maternity - Full Time Nights

Job Description:

The registered nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care using the nursing process. Accepts responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role appropriate tasks in the implementation of care. Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance to the established policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care according to the nursing process.
• Provides education for the patient and family/significant other from admission through discharge process.
• Notifies physician of pertinent observations and changes in the status of the patient.
• Administers medications and performs treatments in an accurate and safe manner.
• Assures equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care, reporting malfunctions to the proper department.

Requirements:

• Associate degree in nursing; Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Valid license to practice in the State of Ohio; CPR required.
• Must have Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certificate.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, critical thinking skills, and ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Experience: Previous Registered Nursing experience preferred.
