Job Description:
The RN in the ICU is responsible for providing patient care in a critical care setting, managing various patient diagnoses including DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, and cardiac conditions. The role requires the RN to titrate drips when necessary, read and interpret telemetry strips, and potentially float to MS or ER as needed. The RN must adhere to fit testing requirements and adhere to the facility's facial hair policy if applicable.
Responsibilities:
- Manage patient care for ICU cases such as DKA, sepsis, and respiratory failure.
- Titrate ICU medications and read/interpret telemetry strips.
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team and adhere to floating requirements.
Requirements:
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS certifications required.
- Experience with trauma patient care or TNCC/TCAR certification preferred.
- Ability to pass fit testing requirements related to facial hair if applicable.
