Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse Med/Surg
City/State: Montgomery, Alabama
Shift: 7:00pm - 7:00am, 12 hr Nights - 36/48
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Start Date: 08/31/2026
Job Description:
The Registered Nurse in the Med/Surg unit will provide care for patients with various medical and surgical needs, adhering to the highest standards of nursing practice.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Med/Surg setting.
- Administer medication and perform treatment procedures.
- Monitor and document patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest quality of care.
- Assist with patient ambulation, hygiene, and activities of daily living.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 18 months experience in Med/Surg or ICU.
- Experience with electronic medical records, preferably Cerner or EPIC.
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications.
- Strong skills in IV starts, wound care, and medication administration.
