Neuro ICU/IMCU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Neuro ICU/IMCU Registered Nurse to join a dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neuro nursing and will be flexible in working across intensive care and step-down units.

Unit Information

The role involves providing patient care in both the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2 in the ICU and 3:4 in the stepdown unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients with neurological conditions.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care strategies.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding care plans and recovery processes.
• Float between the ICU and IMCU as needed, maintaining high standards of care in both settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in neuro nursing in an ICU or stepdown setting.
• Strong skills in neuro assessments and managing complex patient conditions.
• Valid nursing license verification through Nursys.
• Current certification related to neuro nursing is preferred.
• Complete work history with no gaps greater than 60 days.
• Submission of skills checklist and references is required.
