Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room is responsible for providing patient care in a Level 3 Trauma Center. The role includes working with patients presenting with a variety of conditions including geriatric population, abdominal pain, chest pain, stroke, psychological conditions, respiratory issues, and a 15% pediatric population.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the medical team.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to manage complex patient cases and ensure quality patient care.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Department settings.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI or MOAB, and NIHSS certifications.
• Proficiency in using EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
• Experience with TNK, conscious sedation, chest tubes, and central lines.
