Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse - Post Partum
City/State: Spokane, Washington
Shift: 12H Days, 07:00 - 19:00
Contract Length: 21 weeks
Start Date: 10/05/2026
Job Description:
Registered Nurse in the Post Partum unit responsible for providing nursing care to mothers and newborns, including postpartum and low-risk antepartum patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide breastfeeding assistance and newborn care, including vital signs and thermoregulation.
- Manage hypoglycemia, bilirubin levels, and NAS babies, perform PKU testing, and newborn lab and phlebotomy skills.
- Independently care for 3-4 couplets, provide discharge teaching, vaccinate neonates, and perform assessments for mothers and babies.
- Conduct fundal checks on postpartum patients.
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience in Mother-Baby/Postpartum nursing and at least 2 years as a Registered Nurse.
- Licensure in nursing with BLS and NRP certifications; EFM preferred.
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems.
