Unit Information

This position is available in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with the following details:

• Number of Beds: 16
• Patient Ratios: 2:1
• Staffing Description: Unit tech available
• Type of Equipment: GE Monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis med dispense, Drager vents
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: Every other weekend
• Floating Policy: In rotation with full-time staff and other travelers
• Patient Experience Requirements: AIDET, completion of communication board, medication teaching

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
• Desired Skills:
  • Positive attitude
  • Teamwork
  • Problem solving
  • Advanced skills in ventilator/sedation management
  • Medication titration

Procedures Performed

The ICU unit performs the following procedures:

• Trach placement
• Bronchoscopy
• Cardioversion

Dress Code

Charcoal gray scrubs are required.
