Description
Schedule
Full-time, 5 days a week, with weekend availability. The shift runs from 06:45 AM to 03:15 PM. Requires call and late shift flexibility, with a response time of 30 minutes if called in.
Position Summary
A professional caregiver responsible for planning, providing, and directing patient care and education through the nursing process according to established standards and physician orders. This role involves assessing individual patient needs, developing collaborative care plans, and fostering therapeutic relationships with patients and their families.
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure by the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
- BSN required.
Required Experience
- At least 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Operating Room setting.
- Prior travel experience is mandatory.
- Candidates must complete approximately 70 Net Learning modules and pass the ECG/Medication exam with a score of 80% or higher within one week of assignment acceptance.
Required Certifications
- Current Ohio State Board of Nursing license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
Position Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments of patients, including safety and educational needs.
- Establish a collaborative plan of care based on assessment data involving all related disciplines.
- Implement and evaluate care plans based on identified patient goals, adjusting as necessary.
- Complete all documentation in accordance with established standards.
- Assess patient and significant others' readiness to learn and implement tailored education plans.
- Lead departmental initiatives, including in-service opportunities and participation in committees.
- Provide age-appropriate care, adhering to organizational guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and professional standards.
