Description
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a high acuity Medical-Surgical and Respiratory Care Unit. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Shift Information
- Start dates available: August 31 or September 8
- Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM
Unit Information
This unit features 20 beds with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5, and may occasionally require travelers to float to other locations within the region.
Common Patient Diagnoses
- Pneumonia (PNA)
- Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) exacerbations
- Gastrointestinal (GI) Bleed
- Osteomyelitis
- Diabetic foot infections
- Hepatic encephalopathy
- Renal failure
- Bowel obstruction
- End of life care
- Wound care
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical or Telemetry nursing
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or a compact state
- Current certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred, and NHISS certification prior to start
- Drivers license with an address matching demographic details
Additional Information
Experience with Cerner EMR software is preferred but not required. A skills checklist matching the specialty must be submitted, and all active RN licenses will be verified through NURSYS. A Dysrhythmia Exam will be administered during onboarding, with a preferred score of 80%.
