Position Overview

This position is located in a high-acuity, nationally recognized Cardiovascular and Thoracic program. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to circulate in a fast-paced and complex surgical environment, working effectively with a diverse group of surgeons. Strong prior experience in CVOR is essential.

Responsibilities

• Circulate in a variety of cardiovascular cases including CABG, MVR, AVR, kidney transplant, robotics (thoracic and cardiac), peripheral vascular, thoracic, aortic repair, vascular access, hybrid surgeries, and more.
• Maintain high standards of care and ensure patient safety during surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team to support optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of circulating experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR).
• Current certifications including ACLS and BLS.
• Preferred experience in scrubbing but not required.
• Ability to adapt to various surgical practices across approximately 25 surgeons.

Work Environment

This role requires availability for all shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holiday coverage as necessary. On-call requirements are included, with a response time of 30 minutes.

Scrubs will be provided, and there is a department-specific orientation for new hires.
