Description
Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in various medical and surgical units.
General Job Duties
- Provide nursing care to patients, ensuring their needs are met.
- Float between various medical and surgical units based on staffing needs.
- Participate in patient assessments and planning of care.
- Administer medications and provide treatments as prescribed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation.
Shift and Schedule Requirements
This position requires a commitment to 12-hour shifts during the day from 0645 to 1915, scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation. Please note that there is no guarantee of hours.

- Wound vac
- Chest tubes
Required Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 2-10 years of nursing experience required.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Licensure and Certifications
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification preferred.
- PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC certifications are a plus.
Unit/Department Overview
- Medical Unit: 77 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 during days and evenings, and 1:8 for nights.
- Laulima Unit (Surgical Acute): 18 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6.
- Cardiovascular Unit: 15 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4.
Dress Code
Professional nursing attire is required; clean scrubs should be worn at all times.
Orientation and Training
Orientation will be provided for each unit to ensure a smooth transition. Candidates must arrive the Thursday prior to their start date to complete an employee health appointment on Friday.

Please ensure that you can arrive on time for the scheduled orientation and health appointment. Late arrivals will not be accepted for the assigned start date.
