Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care across various medical and surgical units. This role requires a flexible approach as the RN will float between units, adapting to the needs of the healthcare environment.

Shift Information

  • 12-hour Night Shifts: 1845 to 0715
  • Scheduled for 36 hours per week after the first week of orientation
  • No guaranteed hours

Unit Information

  • Medical Unit: 77 bed capacity
  • Laulima Unit (Surgical Acute): 18 bed capacity
  • Cardiovascular Unit: 15 bed capacity

Nurse to Patient Ratio

  • Medical Unit: 1:6 for days and evenings; 1:8 for nights
  • Laulima Unit: 1:6
  • Cardiovascular Unit: 1:4

Required Skills and Experience

  • 2-10 years of nursing experience

Certifications and Licenses

  • Current Hawaii Nursing License required upon start
  • BLS Certification
  • ACLS Certification (PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC preferred)

Equipment Utilized

  • Meditech EMR
  • Pyxis
  • Wound Vac
  • Chest Tubes

Dress Code

Professional nursing attire - clean scrubs are required.

Orientation and Training

Orientation time will be provided for each unit to ensure a smooth transition and understanding of unit-specific protocols and procedures.

Additional Information

Candidates must arrive the Thursday before the start date to attend a required employee health appointment on Friday. Ensure availability for timely onboarding processes, as delays in arrival may affect the start date.
