Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our MedSurg/Telemetry team. This role involves providing high-quality care to a diverse cardiac population in a 28-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical-surgical telemetry nursing.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions, including STEMI and NSTEMI.
• Administer medications and monitor patients receiving cardiac drips such as Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Pressors.
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4, ensuring optimal patient care and safety.
• Monitor telemetry beds with a lower acuity level as needed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management and recovery processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a PCU/MedSurg Telemetry setting in a facility of similar size.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Strong assessment, clinical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and provide patient-centered care.
• Experience with cardiac care and telemetry monitoring preferred.
