Description
Department Description
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides direct care or influences care for acutely and critically ill patients who are at high risk for actual or potential life-threatening health issues. The ICU offers care supported by advanced knowledge and experience, ensuring intensive monitoring, assessments, and interventions in a dedicated setting.
Experience/Education/Qualifications
- Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission.
- Healthcare Provider Level AHA BLS required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required for GSR ICU-CCU.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications preferred.
- Three years of previous ICU experience preferred.
- Verification of high school diploma or equivalent required due to College of American Pathologists (CAP) requirements for moderate complexity testing.
