Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with strong Labor & Delivery experience as well as antepartum and postpartum experience. The ideal candidate will be skilled in providing high-quality patient care and will demonstrate excellent clinical abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Labor & Delivery unit.
- Assist in antepartum and postpartum care, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and perform assessments as required.
- Collaborate with medical staff to create and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families regarding health issues and post-delivery care.
Scheduling Details
This position is a 12-hour day shift, scheduled from 0700 to 1930. The candidate will be required to work every other weekend, specifically Friday and Saturday night shifts.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in Labor & Delivery, preferably at Level 3.
- Experience in antepartum and postpartum care.
- Current Illinois State Nursing License.
- Certifications: Epic, CPR, NRP, Electronic Fetal Monitoring, Tele Monitoring experience is a plus.
Additional Requirements
The candidate will be required to pass a fetal monitoring test and a modified EKG test on the first day of employment.
Orientation
An orientation session of 12 hours will be provided and is non-billable. Credentialing documentation should be submitted by Thursday before the start date.
