Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled LDRP Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care in our labor and delivery unit. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in labor and delivery nursing and a commitment to high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, postpartum, and antepartum stages.
• Monitor and evaluate patient conditions, including those experiencing complications such as hypertension or diabetes.
• Administer medications and titrate intravenous drips as per protocols, including Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia.
• Facilitate breastfeeding support and education in alignment with hospital policies.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and experience.
• Adhere to AWHONN guidelines for patient care and unit ratios.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in labor and delivery nursing.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications are required.
• Ability to pass an open book clinical skills exam during orientation.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Shift Requirements

• 12-hour shifts available, with a commitment to every other weekend and holiday as needed.
• One week of classroom orientation followed by 2-3 shifts in the unit for hands-on training.

Unit Information

• 15 LDRP beds and 15 Postpartum beds.
• The unit follows a patient-centered approach with high patient experience scores and facilities for breastfeeding.
• No floating unless critical staffing is necessary.
